God calls us to open the door, make room at the table, and create spaces
to foster lasting relationships with Jesus Christ.
This Sunday, March 1
"Led by the Spirit into the Wilderness" by Paul B. Thompson
Matthew 4:1-11

This Sunday is Communion Sunday.

It's a great way to serve the church!
Bring your sticks, please!
Our Worship Arts team is preparing a decoration to represent the spirit of the Lenten season. Please bring a stick from your yard this Sunday and place it in the basket by the cross in the foyer. Sticks are not easy to work with - they are brittle, dry, unyielding, stubborn, and rigid - prone to breaking under the slightest pressure. As we considered these sticks as a metaphor for our Lenten contemplation, the sticks become symbols for our struggles, our failures, our shortcomings, our pain. But when we bring them to the cross, Christ takes our sins, our burdens and our suffering; and that makes all the difference.
Many thanks to everyone who attended Bingo Night and for contributing to the event's success!

It was another memorable evening spent together at HUMC.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Club 3:16 for serving 150 people pizza!!!

Service Project
The Children’s Ministry & Preschool will be partnering together in March and April to collect used crayons to that will benefit
    “The Crayon Initiative”
The Crayon Initiative collects
donated crayons then melts them down and remanufactures them, distributing them to art programs at children’s hospitals across the U.S., brightening the lives of young patients during their stay.
Join us in supporting this great cause by dropping your used and unwanted crayons in our designated collection bins located at both church entrances.  Cash donations are also appreciated to help offset shipping costs. These can be dropped off to the Children’s Ministry Office.
