Are you ready for Q4 2019?
For many, October is the start of the new Fiscal year. Also, it is the start of the holiday spending season. But as you know, marketing planning, if not already addressed, should be focused on in September. Once October gets here, you are going to be up to your eyeballs in Pumpkin Spice, family gatherings, parties and employee vacations.
What should be your focus?
-Q4 is a great time to cater to your loyal customers. Do not neglect to go after new clients or customers, but emphasize to your most loyal patrons how much they mean to you. Make a special offer with Facebook Ads to those who like your page. September is also a great time of the year to offer Friends & Family Savings or incentives.
-Planning out your 4th quarter marketing calendar in September should include emails, direct mail, social media posts, and blogs, as well as, any traditional advertising. Keep in mind these important dates like Black Friday (11/29), Small Business Saturday (11/30) Cyber Monday (12/2) and local holiday events. Develop your plan in advance, especially if you need to order giveaway items or extra inventory.
-Be careful of mailing dates. We suggest mailing Holiday cards the week before Thanksgiving and Christmas Cards the week after Thanksgiving. After December 6th, people's minds have shifted and trying to cut through the advertising clutter to reach new clients or prospects is going to very difficult.
Lastly, make this time a year not only enjoyable for your clients but also your staff and your family.
