Volunteer Newsletter
September 2019
The Blackfalds Food Bank and Blackfalds FCSS would like to thank the many volunteers who helped make the RCMP Musical Ride a huge success. The RCMP Musical Ride event raised $11,075.90 for the Blackfalds Food Bank and the Blackfalds Winter Coat for Kids program that provides winter coats to children in need.

If you're looking for a way to get involved and support this important program, please consider attending this years Community Warmth Fall Fundraiser which will be held on October 3, 2019. The 4th annual fundraiser will showcase Snake Lake Brewery craft beer tasting, a delicious chef prepared harvest dinner, live music & the entertaining live dessert auction. Tickets are $30 each, and can be purchased at Eventbrite.

Looking for volunteers to help FCSS staff in the kitchen at our Community Warmth Fall Fundraiser. Please see below for more information on how you can volunteer.

Thanks for your support!

A big thank you to the McKay Ranch Outdoor Aquatic Centre Volunteers!

McKay Ranch Outdoor Aquatic Centre staff would like to take a moment to thank the four dedicated volunteers enrolled with the Volunteer Program this summer. Volunteers helped assist with teaching swimming lessons and shadowing Lifeguards during public swim while getting experience in an aquatic setting. This year, volunteers dedicated 200+ hours to promote water safety in the community.

BE THE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY !
Volunteering offers vital assistance to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, therefore transforming both the lives of the people who volunteer and those who benefit.
