Convenience service operators looking to capture more healthy product sales have the opportunity to offer coconut water from
Mojo Organics Inc.
, a Jersey City, N.J. company that recently expanded from supermarkets to the vending, micro markets and office coffee channel.
Launched by CEO Glenn Simpson four years ago, the company exhibited at its first National Automatic Merchandising Association show this year.
The product, pure coconut water, is manufactured and packaged in Vietnam and comes in an 11-ounce aluminum can and can be sold in either an ambient or refrigerated state. There are no preservatives, additives, sugar or water added to the product. The product is vegan, plant based, gluten-free, and Non GMO Project Verified.

Forte Chocolates
, based in Seattle, Wash., has recently begun producing artisan chocolates to meet the growing demand for gourmet chocolate, including 43-gram, single-serve craft chocolate bars available to vending and refreshment service operators. The company’s Volta chocolate line includes origin bars from Madagascar, Guatemala, Belize, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Dominican and Global.
The bars have a 3-year shelf life and the suggested retail price is $14.
Craft is a style of production that focuses on making chocolate directly from the bean in small artisan-sized batches, allowing for greater diversity and intensity of flavors to be created.

Shasta Beverages Inc.
has added Hi-Biscus! to its LaCroix line of domestic sparkling waters featuring zero calories, no sweeteners and zero sodium. The product is also kosher certified, Non GMO Project Verified, Whole 30 approved and produced without BPA.
The product is available to vending and OCS operators in 11-ounce cans and in a 2.5 pack per case configuration, according to John Farley, vice president of vending and OCS sales at Shasta Beverages Inc.
Hibiscus features a slightly tangy profile. Global use of hibiscus in new food and beverage launches have increased 300 percent since 2012, according to Mintel.

Blendi
, a natural foods company based in Dublin, Ireland, has launched its snack line using only two ingredients, a broad bean and a garden pea, creating a snack that is crunchy, tasty and healthy. The snacks are high in protein and fiber, low glycemic, low calorie, nut-free, gluten-free and contain no cholesterol.
Founders Yvonne and Shane Dolan, a mother/son team, began the company in 2017 with a smoothie product using dried eggs, which led them to develop a vegetable snack. The beans and peas are harvested when ripe, then cleaned, roasted, seasoned and packed.
