Vicky Keith
Candidate for President
 (One year term)

Company and Job Title:  Principal, Vicky Keith Consulting

I have organized and run board meetings for the James Beard Foundation, French Culinary Institute, Make-a-wish Foundation, Provincetown International Film Festival, Cape Cod Economic Development Board, Packard Foundation and many more.  In addition, I have consulted  large corporations in the areas of complex organizational change, strategy implementation and executive team behavior. I have worked at the executive level with such companies as Disney, IBM, GE, Darden Restaurants, Boston Scientific, McKesson, PepsiCo, AT&T, and Delta Airlines.

Our new affiliation with LPGA puts us in a unique position to raise our profile and visibility in the golf world, locally and nationally.  This is a perfect year to get additional high profile sponsorship, local and state-wide press and put us permanently on the map as THE women's golf organization to join in Fort Lauderdale.  As chapter president, I will guide the board in setting the vision and goals for the year and mobilize our contacts to execute against those target goals.

Celeste Methot and Michelle Florea
Candidates for Co-Golf Directors
     (One year term)

These ladies will work together with Celeste as the lead.

Celeste Methot

I am one of the owners of a family-owned and operated Home Medical Equipment company located in Central Florida. For the past 6 years I have been a member of the LPGA Amateurs Fort Lauderdale Chapter.

I have served our chapter as Golf Captain for the last 5 years, including coordinator of special events and assistant to the Director of Golf. In addition, I served as the Committee Chair for the Broward County Women's Amateur.

I want to continue to support women's amateur golf in any way I can. We all play for different reasons; some of us want the competition and others want just the camaraderie of playing with their friends. I want to put more fun in the fun events and more competition in the competitive ones. I would like to make sure that this chapter provides something to satisfy all our members' golfing wants for all different skill levels, and continue to provide us access to the best golf courses in South Florida.

Michelle Florea

I have been a member of the Fort Lauderdale Area Chapter of the LPGA Amateurs  (formerly the EWGA) for 13 years. Initially I served on the handicap committee, and then I inherited the position of Director of Golf. I held that position for 8 years and during that time we developed the best, most amazing volunteers. Our golf Captains are the heart of our Chapter, most whom continue to provide our diverse golf calendar to this day. Whether it's  our regular weekly golf, or those that step up to help produce our amazing and infamous special events, we are very grateful for all of them.  I continue to assist our current Director of Golf, the terrific Celeste Methot in the position of the Golf Chair.  I recently created the position of Director of Special Events, and hope to use all of my life experience to help in both of those positions.

Sherri Kelty and
Susan Collins
Candidates for Co-Membership Recruitment Directors
               (Two year term)

These two ladies will work together with Sherri as the lead.

Sherri Kelty

I have a B.S.Ed and an M.ED in elementary and special education. I also have a post Masters in TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury.  Spent 41 years in public education as a teacher, administrator in Personnel, Assistant Principal, and Principal in Montgomery County, Md and in Palm Beach County, Florida. I have been playing golf off and on during my working years, but when I retired in 2011, I started playing more regularly.  I have a home in Maryland and a condo in Palm Aire and spend 8 months down south, but return North to spend the summers with daughter and 2 grandchildren , ages 5 and 8. I joined the EWGA chapter in 2003 and have continued as they transitioned to LPGA  chapter.

As a recruitment co-director,  I will continue to coordinate recruitment events, track membership and encourage potential members to join the Ft Lauderdale chapter.  Having member guest events, especially during the winter season, is a way to recruit new golfers to the league.  I would also like to display information about our chapter in the golf course pro shops, especially those we play on a regular basis.

Looking forward to taking on the role as a co-chair in this fabulous chapter.

Susan Collins

I moved to Coconut Creek a year ago after much urging from friends who knew I would love the sunshine and the weather. After living 40 years in the Pittsburgh, PA area, they were absolutely correct. I still have a sister and her family who live in the Philadelphia area. I am originally from Louisville, KY where I attended nursing school and began a career in health care.

My career path began in hospital nursing with leadership positions, extended into nursing homes and finally as Director of Assisted Living for a large network of care and services for older adults in Oakmont, PA. I retired in 2011 after 20 years of service with that organization.

My love of golf began a little over 40 years ago when my now ex-husband introduced me to the sport. Career and family forced me to put away my clubs for awhile, but after I retired I started playing again. I have found golf to be not only a great way to exercise,  but also a great way to meet people and make new friends.  It is also a great way to challenge yourself.

My goal as Recruitment Director would be to attract more women to golf, as well as, making more women already playing aware of the benefits of joining the LPGA Amateurs. One way to accomplish these goals would be to make women aware of golfing opportunities through local community newspapers and websites. Also partner with local golf courses to make ladies aware of our organization and the benefits of joining.

Kathy Beard
Candidate for Marketing Director
(One year term)

I have been involved with the LPGA Amateur / EWGA for over 10 years, three of those in the FLL Chapter.  I enjoy the friendship and competition of the chapter and I am passionate about fostering the growth of women's golf in general.  I was an LPGA teaching professional (1996 - 1999) and ran a chapter of LPGA Girls' Golf in Denver. I work full time as a medical device product manager and sales educator for Progressive Medical Inc. and have many other interests, including causes such as Susan G. Komen 60 Mile Walk to end breast cancer, reading, cooking, gardening and drinking wine. I'm married & I'm the Mom of two, beautiful empowered women, 29 & 28.  What I love most about our association and this chapter is that we are supportive of one another, whether it's golf, illness, life events or causes. That is rare today!

Karen Hord
Candidate for Communications Director
(Two year term)

I have been a member of the Fort Lauderdale chapter since 2005, having served as President, Marketing and Membership directors, and currently as the Webmaster.   I still work around 20 hours a week as Controller for our family's distribution business.  I enjoy keeping our membership informed about upcoming events, and like working with computer email software. Per the overview of responsibilities of Communications Director, I will make every effort to pull a team of members together to help with all aspects of this role.
Thanks for participating and supporting our chapter!
