August Township Committee Meeting Recap &

On Thursday, August 29 th , the Township Committee met for its August monthly meeting. The Committee was proud to recognize two All-Star Championship teams from the Morristown National Little League: the Rockaway Tournament All-Star team and the Mendham Tournament All-Stars. 
Following the presentation, the Township Committee tabled to its September 18 th meeting three(3) proposed ordinances referred to the Committee by the Planning Board in order to hear testimony from the Township Engineer and receive further guidance from the Planning Board. In addition to passing sixteen(16) resolutions the Township Committee also passed an ordinance establishing a Transportation Advisory Committee, which will provide recommendations and advise the Township Committee on issues pertaining to: 1) traffic and street safety, 2) alternative methods of transit such as biking and walking, and 3) resident concerns and input. This new advisory committee will be made up of seven resident volunteers in addition to the Township Committee members on the Transportation and Circulation Standing Committee (Cathy Wilson and Mark Gyorfy).
