September Newsletter

TTP will be closed Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day. We hope you have a safe, fun-filled weekend!

Help us welcome our new therapist!
Leah Ziegler is our new speech language pathologist. She has eight years of pediatric experience. She and her family have returned to the midlands after a two year adventure in sunny California. She is looking forward to working with TTP families!
Savannah Houck is our new physical therapist. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2015 with a Bachelors in Exercise Science and Georgia Southern University in 2019 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She enjoys running, reading, and exploring new cities. She's very excited to return to Columbia and to meet all of the kids and their families!
*Keep an eye out for all of our new interns and volunteers who will be working with us this semester*
Please help us welcome all of the new smiling faces to TTP!
We are having our Summer Parents' Night Out on Friday, September 13th from 4-8 pm here at TTP! You may drop your child off and pick up any time between those hours. TTP staff and student volunteers will take special care of your children while you have some "me" time, go on a date, take a nap or whatever you need!
Cost is $5 per child or $10 per family. Please RSVP to  Joye  so we can confirm our volunteers.
We are headed to the zoo!! Saturday, September, 21st at 10 am we are going to the Riverbanks Zoo for our family fun day! This will be a fun day to explore the animals, new exhibits, and get to know other families at TTP. Sign up in the lobby or by emailing Joye with the number of children and adults.
We are kicking off our TTP Games and Family Happy Hour in September! Every Monday night at TTP, we will have support group for adults and games for the kids starting at 6pm.

To make this EVEN easier for you, we are now providing DINNER! So all you have to worry about is getting here. We will provide childcare, "you" time, and take your mind off what you'll have to do for dinner! The menu will be announced prior to the week so you can plan. We will just need your RSVP with the number attending.
Have you seen the bulletin board in the lobby? "Every Visit Counts" rewards a point each time you attend a therapy session. We then draw names from the different levels of attendance!!

Second quarter winners are:
Karsen (above) with 78 visits
Gabe -- 56 visits
William -- 49 visits
Nicholas-- 20 visits

They each received gift cards or a prize and a social media post! Congratulations and thanks to everyone for making attendance at therapy a priority this quarter! Next drawing will be in October.
We are looking for auction items, sponsors and selling tickets NOW!

Discounted and FREE parent tickets
Also, TTP parents interested in attending may purchase at a discounted rate using the promo code found in the lobby or by asking Brooke at the front desk. We are also collecting donated tickets to be put in a drawing for parents. You must sign up to be included in the drawing that way we know you are available and have childcare lined up, etc. We also need volunteers -- who get to attend for free!
