This month we celebrate the economic and social contributions of workers on Labor Day! We're planning an exciting Saturday Night in the Park, we have the Food Truck Festival, and a new park under construction!

Heritage Village Park Coming Spring 2020!

Heritage Village Park is the first EDHCSD park on the west side of Latrobe Road, south of Hwy 50! 

Amenities include:

Three (3) Lighted Tennis Courts
Group Picnic Shade Structure (50-60 persons) with BBQs and Picnic Tables
Restroom with Drinking Fountain
Shade Structure (20-30 persons) with BBQ and Picnic Tables
Two (2) Lighted Pickleball Courts

New Excitement at our Last Summer Concert!!

  2. Pictures at Bass Lake and on the EDH sign with a Green Screen!
  3. Caricatures!
  4. Face Painting!
  5. Roaming Magician!
We have a lot of extra fun planned for you at Saturday Night in the Park! You can find two interactive spray paint walls at the Teen Center where guests can paint the infamous EDH rocks! We will have one green screen where you can take a picture in Bass Lake or on the EDH sign! Special thanks to Flix in Motion for making these ideas come to life this year.

Out in Community Park, kids can get their faces painted, we'll have a roaming magician, a caricature station and bounce houses! Adults can head over and grab a beer poured by Mraz Brewery and Steve's Pizza. Enjoy a glass of wine from Jose Wine Cave and delicious eats from Ruffhaus Pub, Cold Stone Creamery, Blue Dolphin Shaved Ice and much more!

Synthetic Turf Replacement Project

 
S ynthetic turf replacement at Promontory Community park is on schedule to complete the installation by September 15th.  Some of the key milestones accomplished were 14 sprinklers specifically used to help keep the turf cool were replaced by EDHCSD Parks Team, so we're very thankful for all of their hard work! The geofabric install is nearly complete and the brock (shock pad) is being placed as the turf is installed.

Community Clean Up Day

Saturday, September 28 from 9:00am to 3:00pm

Plan to purge this fall! El Dorado Hills residents are invited to bring genly used household items, large & small appliances, sinks, microwaves, TV's, among other items to donate to Snowline Hospice.



Food Truck Festival: Country Hoedown!


Wednesday, September 18

Join EDH Promise Foundation and the District on Wednesday, September 18th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Food Truck Festival for  delicious eats and live music at Community Park. EDH Promise Foundation has partnered with El Dorado Hills Soccer Club for an event the whole family can enjoy.

Summer is Coming to an End

Come enjoy the spray ground or Community Pool this weekend, and please note Labor Day is the last day the spray ground at Promontory + Bertelsen will be open. Spray ground will reopen on Memorial Day 2020.

Skate Park Update  
 
The skate park is on track

We are currently in the process of manufacturing and having the pieces delivered and they will be installed mid October as planned.

Fall Squirrel 
September artists will paint a Fall Squirrel in just two hours with the step-by-step instructions from Terri Haverty. 
Class is on September 26 from 4 to 6pm and the fee is $32.

Pre-Teens to Adults with Special Needs

We are in the final throws of putting together our "Believe in Me" performance held on December 5th at 7pm in the EDHCSD Gym. Jonathan Reis who is a Recreation Therapist/Behavioral Technician, as well as a professional actor, has been working with the special needs population for over 10 years. This program has been developed to assist those with special needs in learning how to focus, speech, reading skills, following direction, using their voice with being physically creative with their movements, stage presence along with leadership. Students learn to work with others in a group setting and gain an incredible confidence in themselves.

SA Shotokan Karate

Advanced Classes

This Japanese style of karate provides students a healthy balance between physical exercise and mental discipline. This results in improved coordination, focus, and self confidence. This class accommodates all student levels from beginner to black belt. Each new student will be supplied a Gi to wear in class.
