Candle Lighting: 6:50 p.m.
Dear Friends,

While God may be the same everywhere, we are not. There are certain times and spaces in which we may feel more connected to the divine and more spiritual than others. One of those times and spaces for many of us may be the High Holy Days at Tifereth Israel. One of the highlights over the past few years has been at the concluding service of Yom Kippur, Neilah. Those present have had the chance for a personal, private prayer in front of the ark. It was beautiful seeing the smiles and the tears, as individuals and families had one last private sacred moment in their sacred space.

It is difficult for me, as it may be for you, that we cannot gather together in song and prayer in our sanctuary. Nevertheless, we still want to provide you with an opportunity for a private prayer, in our sanctuary, during the holiest time of year.

Please watch the Jewel of Elul, below, for information on how we will create this opportunity for members of our community. Please check our website for information on safety protocols in place and on how to sign up.
The High Holy Days will be very different this year than in years past. Nevertheless, we will still create sacred moments and sacred spaces at the synagogue, in our homes, and in our hearts.

Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Josh Dorsch
