Message from President
Carrie Pavis

Greetings Soroptimists!

Wow, the summer has flown by! We have had our first board meeting and our attendance was high. Thank you to all who came and participated. This first week is busy as we come together at our first Business Meeting, SUDS, and Retreat. Our lunch seating arrangement will be similar to last years. The lunch price will remain the same - $16 for lunch and $7 for the facility fee. A big thank you to Kathy Erickson who will remain our lunch lady!

Here's the 411:
  • SUDS will be at Bonnie's house this Thursday, Sept 5th with Dawn Fedeli instructing us in water aerobics.
  • The retreat is this Saturday, Sept 7th; there is still time to sign up. We are keeping it local, in Chico and the cost is $45. Our Events Committee has done an excellent job with all of the details.
  • Epicurean Rendezvous Fundraiser tickets went on sale last week at the BBQ and are at a discounted price until September 15th. You can get tickets online Click here or at our Wednesday Meetings.
I know this is a lot of information for our first week back at Club, but this is how SI Chico gets so much done!

Looking forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday, Sept. 4th. This is going to be a GREAT Year.

Update

Hello SI Chico Members!

Tickets are now on sale everyone!! We need your help in getting our room filled. We are planning for a sellout crowd, which is 300 people. Please do all that you each can to get the word out and encourage people you know who would enjoy the evening to attend.

*Can you post fliers for us?

*Do you belong to another organization where you can share the event and talk about it?

* Will you share the link on your personal social media accounts?

*Can you email the information and/or the flier to any number of people in your contacts?

Promoting this event and getting our tickets sold is ALL of our job.

Thanks for your help in this area everyone.

Basket Update: We currently have about 22 baskets promised. We would welcome a few more. We are really in need of some larger, more substantial donations of prizes that could be used in a live auction. We currently have a diamond necklace. Do you have a connection, an idea or something to donate? Help us here please!!

Tickets will also be available for member purchase at our Business meeting. Please let us know if you have any questions!
