Vicki Gardner Receives 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award
The VACCE Board of Directors was proud to present Vicki Gardner, Executive Director of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber, the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award at our Executive Leadership Conference held in Fredericksburg, VA.
Vicki recently announced her intent to retire from her position, and on this occasion we wanted to commend her for her dedication and contributions to our industry. We offer our sincere appreciation for her valuable service to the Chamber of Commerce industry.

Shenandoah County Chamber
The Chamber held their
first Student Leadership Shenandoah County program modeled after our adult Leadership Shenandoah County program. We had 11 students, selected from the three high schools, participate. The Chamber partnered with the County Public School System to make this program a reality. The mission of the Student Leadership Shenandoah County (SLSC) program is to equip rising high school sophomores and juniors with opportunities to acquire and implement leadership skills in their school and community. The SLSC program will foster the development of student leadership skills through various experiences.
