~ Shacksbury Cider, home of the Lost Apple Project, was recently featured in Eating Well magazine. Check out their funky, unique flavors at their Vergennes tasting room.
~ Apple Days and Harvest Festival at Champlain Orchards in Shoreham

The
#RootedinVermont September campaign highlights local bakeries. Of course, any bread lover worth their gluten knows that our area has some of the best baked good around.
A few highlights:
Good Companion Bakery, located at Boundbrook Farm, is one of the stops of this year's
Tour de Farms. Find Colin at the Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op and Vergennes and Middlebury Farmers' Markets for their famous cinnamon rolls, soft pretzels and batards.
Gourmet Provence brings a taste of Europe to Brandon with buttery croissants and elegant pastries, made-to-order cakes, daily baguettes and Vermont specialty products.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Caroline Kapp and Nora Peachin visited many of Vermont's country, general and village stores to find out what makes them special - and how they are evolving.
