Wild Goose Chase ( Scavenger Hunt event)

September 8th, 6-8:00pm

To kickoff the new school year and get back into the swing of Sunday night youth group we will be doing one of my favorite events called "The Wild Goose Chase". I have hidden decoy geese all over the Gurnee area and students will be given clues to their location. First team to find it, gets the goose! Students will be in teams traveling with an adult driver for this event.

Be at the church at 6pm for rules and formation of teams. When we return to the church we will feed everyone pizza and find out who our winners are. Winners will be treated to Dairy Queen afterwards and everyone is encourage to hang out at Dairy Queen after the event (you just have to pay for yourself if you are not on the winning team).

One Retreat (HS Only)

October 18-20th

Every year several high school youth
ministries in northern Lake County have unite
together for an annual Fall ONE retreat.

This year will be our ninth year and will take
place the weekend of October 18-20th near Devil's Lake at camp Expeditions Unlimited. Total cost for the weekend is $125 and students must be signed up and paid for by Sunday, October 6th.  Registration forms for this event will be available on the GCC website later this month.

Panama Mission Trip

July 31-August 8, 2020

Save the dates for the upcoming youth mission trip to Panama. Students currently in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply for the 2020 trip. 

Also, there a couple of other dates to save. There will be an informational meeting help on November 24th for both students and parents. Also, students planning to go are also expected to help with the annual Turkey Trot taking place on November 28th, Thanksgiving Day. This is one of our main support raising events.
