2019 Tails of the Painted Cats
 Saturday, September 14

Our 2019 Tails of the Painted Cats Gala Dinner and Auction is less than two weeks away!  Time is running out to get your tickets for our signature fundraiser.  The Gala will be held at Pinehurst Country Club on Saturday, September 14th, from 5 to 9pm.  This is one of the major events which we hold every other year to benefit our cats -- cats who are homeless, abused, or neglected.  Our mission is to help not only the cats, but also the people who love them, and we can't do it without your support!

33 small and large artistically created cats will be auctioned off that night.  One of these cats, Hanna Lulu, comes with a week in Hawaii for the winning bidder.  We will also have flat cat paintings, pottery, and a craft brew table.  Be sure to participate in the raffle for small cat, Little Ming.  Adult beverages will be available during the silent auction which will be followed by a delicious dinner and a paddle auction.  We hope to see you there!

Pinehurst Country club is located at 6255 W Quincy Avenue, Denver 80235.

Many animal care organizations from throughout the community will be present, and you can meet both staff and animals.  There will be adoptable animals of all kinds at the event, but NO SAME DAY ADOPTIONS.  Cat Care Society will have a booth there with a number of our adoptable cats and kittens.  We will also have birthday cake for visitors.  Please join in!

Opt to Adopt CC

CC is a year and a half old female who was transferred to us by Denver Dumb Friends League after her owner surrendered her.  The owner gave her up only because of lack of time to care for her.  CC was diagnosed with feline leukemia, and luckily we have a room specifically for those cats so she was transferred to us instead of being euthanized.  She is contagious to cats who do not already have this condition.   This means that she needs to be the only cat in the

house or needs to be with other cats with the same diagnosis. Humans and other animals are not at risk.  She LOVES to play.  Catnip toys, laser pointers, ribbon chasers... you name it and she'll play with it!  CC is a sweetheart and a great cuddle buddy. And to add to her cuteness, she is slightly cross-eyed.

CC is eligible for our Perpet-U-Care program because of her condition.

August was a great month for adoptions....61 cats and kittens found forever homes.  Most of the adoptions were kittens.  However, adults and seniors continue to be adopted.  11 year old Serendipity found her new home, and we're always so glad for these success stories.
