This Week's Service:
As This Bill Sees It

After 25 years of sobriety what has this member of the congregation learned from attending all those A.A. meetings? Our speaker this morning will reflect on what he has learned about life in general and as a recovered alcoholic from attending those meetings. He will quote extensively from a book he has written on those same lessons. "Bill" (In accordance with the anonymity required of alcoholics at public gatherings, only first names should be used.)

This Week's Drop-In Discussion: Antifragile.  Nassim Nicholas Taleb in his book Antifragile: Things That Gain From Disorder, says that avoiding risk can be dangerous, avoiding stress can be unhealthy and maximizing efficiency can lead to collapse.  Phil Ebersole will lead a discussion of these ideas.

sanctuary Renovation News

The electrical work did start on February 25 as planned.  The power and control lines have been installed all the way to the locations where the new lights and controls will be mounted later.

On Monday April 1st the pews and floor work will begin.  It means that, after the service on Sunday March 31st, every object in the sanctuary that is not anchored to the floor will need to be removed.  Everybody is invited to join in this giant moving party.

Between April 1st and some time in June, the Sunday services and the Thursday noon concerts will be held in the Clara Barton Lounge.  More details about these will be coming from other committees.  For questions and comments, contact Alain Perregaux in person or at [email protected].

history scroll History Wall

In Clara Barton Lounge, there is a "History Wall", a project of the interim minister and the Transition Team.  Your input it solicited/encouraged/invited!  Many events of the last 50 years are chronicled.

We invite you to "weigh in" and add your own events/thoughts/feelings.  This "Wall" will become the basis for a service on April 7th.  The time in now.  We want to hear from you.  Thanks.
