This Week's Service:

Don't Be Too Quick to "Unfriend" Someone

In the age of Facebook, we are all familiar with the term "unfriending". But what really warrants this drastic step? Can good friends hold differing political and religious views? We'll explore what matters, and what doesn't when it comes to friendship. -Rev. Peter House

This Week's Drop-In Discussion: To be announced.
sun with glasses Summer Schedule

Everyone is welcome to attend.

pride flag Why March in Pride Parade July 19?

We say we want to have visibility in the community.  Here is one way we make it happen.

Wear your Standing on the Side of Love T-shirt, your First Universalist T-shirt, or other apparel, and march down Park Avenue with other UUs behind our banner on July 19.

Please sign up on the Social Justice bulletin board in the Clara Barton Lounge with your contact information.  Gathering time is 2:30 PM, but more details -- including carpooling to the parade -- will be shared by those who sign up or email Connie Valk at cvalk@frontiernet.net

We usually have twenty or more First Universalists participate.  If you have never marched with the group before, come join us as UUs continue to take this stand for social justice.  We've been heartened by the demonstration of thanks from the LGBTQ Community. Great strides have been made, but the struggle is not over.  Transgender issues are the new frontier in NY State.  This is one way we can make a stand for social justice.
