YARD WASTE FACILITY UPDATE

As a result of the Town Yard Waste facility having been open without supervision, round the clock, seven days per week since last spring, the site experienced excessive abuse in terms of what was dumped there and by whom. Consequently, the Town Board recently closed the site to enable a contracted service to grind and chip the branches and logs.

The site will be open again this month during the following limited hours during which time it will be supervised by a volunteer Town Board member to prevent further abuse.

Saturday, November 9th - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Saturday, November 16th - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Accepted yard waste includes leaves, needles, brush and
tree limbs/trunks not exceeding 6 inches in diameter.

Only St. Germain property owners are welcome to use this site.
All others, including commercial vehicles, will be turned away.

The future of this facility is uncertain as a result of what occurred this year. The Town Board will announce later this winter how yard waste is to be handled next year.

FALL ANNUAL ELECTOR MEETING

Please be reminded that the fall elector meeting to review the Town's 2020 budget and approve the 2019 tax levy is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th at 7:00 PM in the St. Germain Community Center.
