For Parents
Students and Parents,

Please read this important message from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the Reno Office of Drug Enforcement Administration. They would like to raise public awareness about the dangers of taking non-prescribed drugs, particularly in response to counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl that have recently been circulating within our district.

We wish to encourage parents to have honest conversations with their children about drug use. We love all of our students and want all of them to be safe and healthy.

Curious about how financial aid works at Bishop Manogue? Please see some frequently asked questions below!

Financial Aid & Scholarships Information FAQ:

Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TUITION ASSISTANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS?

Tuition Assistance: Need-based assistance
  • Funded by donations and fundraising
  • Eligibility is determined by a third party reviewer called FACTS Grant & Aid

Scholarships: Need and Merit-based assistance
  • Created and funded by private donations and memorial gifts

Q. WHEN WILL MY FAMILY BE NOTIFIED ON THE STATUS OF MY TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATION?

The first wave of tuition assistance notification letters will be distributed Friday 2/21. Qualifying families who have submitted their complete Financial Aid application and corresponding materials will be notified first.

Q. WHEN WILL I BE NOTIFIED ON THE STATUS OF MY STUDENT’S SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION?

As donors select recipients, letters will be mailed ONLY to those who are awarded scholarships. Donors make their selections at different rates and your patience is appreciated as we accommodate their decision making process. Please do not contact the school to check the status of your application.

Q. CAN MY STUDENT STILL APPLY FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS?

Application for tuition assistance is still available. Tuition assistance is granted on a first come first served basis. The availability of funds to provide financial aid will continue to decrease as time goes by so it is imperative to submit a complete application as soon as possible.

There are currently no open scholarships, however we encourage you to check the website as scholarships do become available throughout the year.

Q. CAN MY STUDENT APPLY FOR A PARISH DISCOUNT?
Yes, the parish discount application can be found HERE
