As much as we desire to be productive and useful as we labor in the fields of life, there is a voice within, calling us to cease all mental and physical striving. Take some time to contemplate this idea, and use it to find your own night pond waiting for you at the center of your life work. Guest Speaker: Paul Swiatek.
This Week's Drop-In Discussion: Free to Choose. Almost all Americans believe they should be free to decide things for themselves, but with certain exceptions such as abortion, gun ownership, use of marijuana, vaccination and so on. Phil Ebersole will lead a discussion of freedom and its exceptions.

|  RAIHN Car City 2015 Help Put the Brakes on Homelessness: A car is no substitute for a home. Car City is a fundraiser as well as a way to shed light on homelessness in Rochester. Families, youth groups and other teams are invited sleep in their cars at Asbury Methodist on Saturday, May 2nd. There will be evening activities, including live music and a sundae bar. Local Author Sonja Livingston will share excerpts from her book Ghostbread and reflect on growing up in poverty in Rochester. If you don't want to sleep in your car but want to support RAIHN Car City, join Team VirtUUal. | SAVE THE DATE: MAY 3: FLOWER COMMUNION is a time-honored UU tradition in which flowers are shared among us, in recognition of our human unity and diversity. This year's Flower Communion service will be on May 3rd. All are welcome to bring a flower (or several) to share. MAY 4: ADVOCACY DAY: Monday, May 4, from 10am to 3:30pm, Interfaith Impact of New York State sponsors an Advocacy Day in Albany for legislative visits. Specific issues the IINYS Board has chosen to emphasize are: the Women's Reproductive Security Act, Trans Gender Civil Rights (GENDA), Humane Alternatives to Long Term Solitary Confinement (HALT Solitary Act).
