CHAMBER MEMBER E-NEWSLETTER

Happy Summer!

It's already been a busy few weeks!  The Burke Chamber Booth at NEMBAfest had many visitors and we had lots of great info and giveaways from local businesses to share.   We are happy to report that visits to the Chamber website, burkevermont.com have increased greatly since the start of the year.  VIsits are up about 24% from last year!  Remember, it's your one stop source for all things Burke. The site is updated regularly and features a robust calendar of local events, listings for lodging, dining, recreation and more.  It's not just for visitors, either.  Need a contractor, real estate attorney, mechanic or maybe you've got a naughty dog in need of training?  Check out the local services and directory pages and support your fellow chamber members and business owners.   Feel free to post this page at your business so your customers can easily scan our QR code and access the site.

The Chamber Board has been working on several projects including repairing and updating the kiosk on the green in East Burke Village.  You may have also noticed US, Quebec and Canadian flags appearing in the villages.  The idea is to have them up in well trafficked locations during Canadian holiday weekends to give a nod to our Northern friends.  If you would like us to put flags at your business, send us an email.

A quick note that some of you have not paid your 2019 chamber dues yet (due in January).  Please do so ASAP by returning the renewal form.  You can mail a check or CLICK HERE to pay by credit card.  Thank you for your continued support!

A reminder that the Chamber Board has several committees and we always encourage member involvement.  If any are of interest to you, contact the Board Member(s) heading it up:

Lodging (Jim and Chris)
Marketing (Jim, Chris and John)
Business to Business Opportunities (Linda and Jim)
Beautification (Tammy and Gail)
Events (Michelle, Tammy and Gail)
Education (Linda and John)

With many thanks,
