County, CompassRed announce data visualization partnership
New Castle County and Wilmington-based CompassRed have announced a data visualization partnership that will bring clear information on the county's BioBot testing efforts to residents of the county. CompassRed will create a dashboard, updated weekly with the most recent BioBot data from the county's wastewater system, offering useful tools to visualize where estimated cases are concentrated within the county. New Castle County started in its partnership with BioBot in April, using testing technology to monitor COVID-19 in wastewater. The initiative has since garnered national attention as an early indication tool. To visit the dashboard, CLICK HERE .
County testing sites returning results quickly as some states slow
Across the United States, testing capacity is becoming an increasing challenge. In Arizona, results for some are taking weeks to return. In Delaware, thanks to a partnership with Curative, Inc., testing has remained timely. Most individuals receiving a test at one of New Castle County's testing sites receive results in less than 48 hours. In instances where results take longer, it's usually human error entering an email address correctly. New Castle County is committed to safe and efficient testing. If you get tested and have not received results within 72 hours, email support@curativeinc.com. To register for testing at one of the county's sites, CLICK HERE .
Summer Concert Series looks different, sounds the same
New Castle County brought back the Summer Concert Series at Glasgow Park last Thursday with the Blues Reincarnation Project and will feature a new band every Thursday through August 27th. While concerts normally take place at the Bank Barn, to accommodate the added spacing required to keep safe social distancing and extra vehicles, concerts may also take place near the tennis courts where extra parking is available on the grass.
