The San Pedro ♥ Festival of the Arts is a free family event, in the past featuring Dance, Music & Visual Arts/Crafts Booths. This year, our 14th, we approach it in a new and exciting way due to the dimensions of the current Pandemic. The festival was again awarded a Department of Cultural Affairs, City of LA, Festival Grant.

Because of the restrictions on permits for group park activities, the final festival will be streamed this year, with applications due as follows. We will be editing from your submitted footage, with sources from live performance or video.

We are Interested in all dance forms performed by professional companies (usually about 20 selected) including traditional ballet and modern as well as ethnic dance forms, tap, fusion, jazz, and hip-hop. Each day also includes 2-3 pre-professional companies or schools.

Instead of our usual large stage, we will select from footage you send us, and combine with interviews with selected company directors and dancers in some of San Pedro's beautiful locations.
If you are doing a new version of the work, you must submit the outline on video, and record the final version yourself, as at the time of writing, we will not have a place to record. Although we won't have our large outdoor stage this year, it is a great opportunity to share your work not only with San Pedro, but over a much wider area.
There is an honorarium for all professional companies selected.

You can see more about previous festivals at http://www.triartSP.com . Get a pdf application on https://lachoreographersanddancers.org/special-projects-2/san-pedro-festival-of-the-arts / or our website www.lachoreographersanddancers.org has a tab that connects with the application.
Professional submissions must be at least 10 minutes long with a maximum of 20 minutes. Pre-professional under 10 minutes.
