Thank you to everyone that signed up to participate on our  committees!  We realize that having an active parent organization helps give us the ability to manage the variety of moving parts throughout the year.  Each family makes a difference and we value the time you give.  It's not too late to participate if you didn't sign up!  Swing by the preschool office to find out how you can get involved! Meet Miss Susanne

Susanne
Has your child come home and shared with you all the interesting things they've built or repaired with Miss Susanne? She's a favorite of many of the children, not to mention staff!  Miss Susanne, our Project Coordinator, has been teaching at PPP for the past 16 years and wears several hats.  From repairing the water pump in the sandbox to subbing at last minute in the classrooms, she is irreplaceable!  Did we mention she's our master tinkerer, too!  Next time you see her on campus, be sure to say "Hello!".
Little Lambs with Ms. Hillary

Welcome! We are thrilled to have your children join us monthly in the Sanctuary for a little lesson on Jesus.  We will talk about love, grace and the wonderful feeling of never, ever being alone.  We have high energy time together including songs, puppets, story boards & much, much more!  Ms. Hillary is always there, and we welcome PPC pastors, PPC's Director of Music & the Arts, David Allen and occasional volunteers throughout the year.  During the month of September,  we will learn God's Way is Perfect!  We'll focus on 2 Samuel 22:31 and knowing that when we believe, we are sheltered and cared for. Check with your child's teachers to see when we meet and f eel free to join us for Little Lambs as you are able!  

Hillary joined Pinnacle in August 2017 as Director of Children's Ministry. Hillary most recently served as Director of Children Ministries at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church for three years and as a preschool teacher at CASY for four years. She is a graduate from Missouri State University and began her Masters of Business Administration at Drury University. She also served as VP of Human Resources for Springfield ReManufacturing Corp. in Springfield, Missouri. Hillary and her husband, Scott, have four children, Ellie 17, Ethan, 16, Eli 14 and Emily 13.
Meet Harry Houdini

Have you stopped by to meet our Desert Tortoise, Harry Houdini?  We adopted him from Arizona Fish & Game and he's approximately 17 years old.  His favorite foods are dandelion leaves (which can be purchased at Fry's) and hibiscus flowers.  If you'd like to bring him either of these, please take them to Miss Melanie in the Atelier or to the preschool office so we can monitor his daily nutrition.  We're excited for the children to learn all about Harry and his desert lifestyle.  
Recycle Crayons Here!

Founded in 2011 by Brian Ware, The Crayon Initiative collects donated crayons from restaurants, schools and homes across the country, then melts them down and remanufactures them, reducing waste.  With the aid of thousands of volunteers, The Crayon Initiative has taken great strides to help keep the earth clean, while spreading joy to kids in need by providing them with an endless supply of free art materials.  To learn more about this inspiring initiative, click here.  Collection boxes are conveniently located in the entrance near the daily sign in/out sheet.  THANK YOU to Jessica Rinehart, chairperson of this year's Community Outreach Committee for organizing this worthwhile cause.  
Birthday Parties at PPP

Pinnacle has the most innovative parties in town!  We offer fun and creativeparty themes and activities geared specifically for children ages 3 - 8.  Best of all, our parties are completely hassle-free!  Let us do all the work so you and your child can have all the fun!

All Atelier Birthday Parties include:
  • 90 minutes party for up to 12 children in the Atelier
  • Chose from one of 3 party themes - World of Eric Carle, Lego Builders or Lil' Artist
  • Craft projects matched to each theme
  • Themed Goody Bags for each guest
  • Cupcake decorating activity for each guest
  • Fully staffed and supervised party by (2) Pinnacle Staff Members
  • Decorations and paper goods

Family Fun Night with The Singing Cowboy 
Family Fun Night & Silent Auction

Save the date!!  Our Annual Family Fun Night will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  Each classroom will be open to visit, desserts and lemonade in the Atelier, entertainment featured by Arizona's only Singing Cowboy and over 100 items to bid on during the Silent Auction.  This is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year and the money raised goes towards the preschool's scholarship program and continuing education for staff. There are many ways you can help make this event a success.  One way is by collecting items to bid on, or if you'd prefer, supply an item from your place of business or a gift card you've purchased. Kid and Family Yoga - FREE at the Barnes and Noble courtyard at Desert Ridge.  Open to the community!  Family participation is highly encouraged!  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Mat or beach towel recommended.  Click here for more info provided by our own Victoria Carlock!  Thanks for sharing!
Preschool Friendly Reminders
  • It's important as a parent that you familiarize yourself with the Parent Handbook that is on our website. If you have not already, please do so and return your signed & dated Policies and Procedures Form to the preschool office as soon as possible. Also, be aware of our policy titled Celebrating Birthdays on page 31 of the Parent Handbook.

  • If your child will be absent, please notify the preschool office at 480-585-9448 x2 prior to 9 am regardless whether it be for vacation or illness. 
  • Due to licensing, always sign your child in and out each day they attend with your full name (no initials). 
  • Siblings that are not attending the preschool should be with their parents at all times. After 9 am, only children enrolled for the day will be allowed to use the outdoor classroom, also known as the Nature Explore Playground. After morning classes are released, children only staying for Extended Day are allowed to use the outdoor classroom. 
  • Please drive slowly in the parking lot and keep distractions to a minimum for everyone's safety. 
  • Help us keep our environment an inviting one by encouraging your child to pick up after themselves before leaving. 
  • Tuition is due the 1st of each month and late after the 10th calendar day. A $25 late fee will be assessed for payments after the 10th. Forms of payment accepted are cash, check, Electronic Funds Transfer and credit cards with a 3% processing fee. EFT forms can be obtained in the preschool office. When requested, a receipt of payment is available. A drop box is located in the office for those paying by check. 
  • A lost and found trunk is located in the preschool office. Please check this area occasionally for items may be left behind. All unclaimed items will be donated.
  • Dress for Success!! Proper attire for your preschooler is clothing that can get messy. Sneakers or shoes with rubber soles are required. Please no flip flops, dress shoes, Crocs or cowboy boots since they present a safety hazard especially when climbing. 
  • Due to severe allergies, PPP is peanut & tree nut free. Please keep this in mind when packing your child's lunch. If you inadvertently pack an item with nuts, it will be removed from your child's lunchbox and returned at dismissal. Alternative items are available in the preschool office if needed. 
  • Remember to check your preschool mailbox each day your child attends for important communication from your teachers, the preschool office, as well as PPC.
