ENGAGE! CID Newsletter
Welcome to the August edition of Engage!

Dear Colleagues, Partners and Friends,

Welcome back to the Center for Inclusive Democracy's bi-weekly newsletter! As a non-partisan research center, we will share with you critical information in areas including voter behavior, turnout analysis, election reforms and vote-by-mail use leading up to the November General Election.

In this edition of Engage you will learn about upcoming events, read about relevant research and gain access to helpful resources like the toolkits and FAQ's. This edition of Engage also features a spotlight on our Voting Location Siting Tool. It is critically important to assure impartial access to the ballot box and we believe using the Voting Location Siting Tool is one way to help make that happen.

CID News
Civic Engagement Spotlight: CID's Voting Location Siting Tool is now available for all California counties!
We recently announced the expansion of the Center for Inclusive Democracy's (CID) Voting Location Siting Tool to 10 states for the 2020 General Election. The Tool uses data mapping and technology to help election officials and communities easily identify accessible voting centers and polling places. The Tool is being rolled out state-by-state in phases over the coming weeks.

In the first phase, we released multiple types of community-level demographic and voter data, each viewable in separate interactive maps. Communities can immediately begin using these data to start identifying voting locations or to organize voter outreach. In phase two, additional data modeling by CID will bring together voting and demographic data into one single interactive layered map, which can then be used by communities to further identify placement of local optimized voting locations.

All 58 counties in California now have access to either Phase I or Phase 2 data using the CID Voting Location Siting Tool. For California for county-specific details and information, click below.
