Love Local | Mark your Calendars

The Seneca Regional Chamber will launch a campaign beginning on November 8th to encourage those living in Seneca County to support all things local instead of going out of town or online to non-locally owned and operated entities as the holiday season quickly approaches.

The Love Local campaign was inspired by the annual Small Business Saturday event sponsored by American Express that will take place on Saturday, November 26 in communities across the country. The Seneca Regional Chamber wishes to encourage the community to support local every day of the year. According to the Small Business Administration (SBA) for every dollar spent at a small business in the United States, approximately 67 cents stays in the local community.

Local organizations can request a Love Local window cling at www.TiffinChamber.com/LoveLocal to proudly display and to identify them as a local business and they will have the opportunity to be featured on the Chamber’s website and social media platforms. This past year has been one filled with trials, unique circumstances, and triumphs along the way. The world continues to provide new situations that we are all learning to navigate. Our organization has been able to accomplish a lot this past year and has reached new levels of achievements and success because of the support from our members.

Feature Friday: Tiffin-Seneca United Way

Happy Feature Friday, where every Friday the Chamber team will highlight one of our fantastic members by repping them for the day and telling the community more about them. This week's Feature Friday is: Tiffin-Seneca United Way & First Call for Help!

Tiffin-Seneca United Way is a non-profit in downtown Tiffin which focuses on Health, Education, Income Stability, and Safety Net Services. The United Way is currently hosting the 2021-2022 Campaign and looking for your support this holiday season.

By purchasing a $5 holiday raffle ticket not only are you entering a chance to win over $700 in local restaurant gift cards but also supporting Seneca County and “Encouraging our community to care of one another.” All funds raised go towards the 21-22 Campaign. AHOP Women’s Leadership Series provides empowering opportunities for women to grow in their leadership roles within their organizations. Discussion is focused on the book How Women Rise: Break the 12 Habits Holding You Back from Your Next Raise, Promotion, Or Job. The program will take place on the third Tuesday of the month from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm from January 18 through May 17 at the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce conference room. Register here.

North Central Electric Dedicates EV Charging Station

Congratulations to North Central Electric Cooperative for cutting the ribbon on their brand new EV Charging Station located at Seneca East!

The station was installed thanks to a grant from North Central Electric via their state organization, Ohio's Electric Cooperatives. The EV charger is to improve the infrastructure associated with the increased interest in EV vehicles. It is the second in the region with an identical charger located at North Central Electric Cooperative’s headquarters in Attica.

Simply Susan's Celebrates Renovations With Ribbon Cutting and After Five

Congratulations to Simply Susan's for cutting the ribbon last night to celebrate the new store renovations! Thank you for hosting an amazing After Five complete with music, delicious food and drinks and shopping for all to enjoy!

Renovations to the store include a redesigned window display for the holiday season, new flooring, installed by Chamber member Richard's Carpet Outlet, expansion of retail space with a remodel of the former storage area, and a remodeled restroom and painting. These renovations allow for an updated look and a more welcoming shopping experience for customers.

Simply Susan’s is a unique boutique and offers products such as fine chocolates and candy, apparel, accessories, Luca & Dani Jewelry, on-the-spot engraving, home décor, gifts, and more. Simply Susan’s also has a wide selection of local items including Tiffin and Ohio apparel, jewelry, home décor, and more.
