Windham High School Needs Your Help
Several classes are including units on career preparation and planning for students. As part of these units, students are being asked to prepare for and participate in mock job interviews. We are eager to provide students with an opportunity to interact with community members in fields related to their interests.

If you, or someone within your business, may be willing to be part of this project, we would be most thankful! The details:

  1. Mock interview dates: Tuesday, May 4th from 9:45-10:30; Wednesday, May 26th from 11:45-12:30; Thursday, May 27th from 11:30-12:15. You can participate in one date or up to all three.
  2. All interviews will take place online, likely through Zoom.
  3. We will provide you with specific questions to ask and other guidelines.
  4. You will be interacting with one student.
  5. Areas of particular interest to students include the trades, child care services, and medical professions.

If you are willing to consider this opportunity (this would not be a firm commitment yet!), please email Lanet Anthony at lanthony@rsu14.org

Explore Career Opportunities in State

The Community Coordinators Collaborative (C3), an organization of educators working to support students with career exploration, is hosting the state’s first ME Virtual Career Fair from May 17-21.

In-person career fairs have been signature events designed to connect high school students and employers throughout the state. Among the many disruptions created by the COVID-19 pandemic, schools were faced with finding new innovative ways to provide important career exploration opportunities for students. This inaugural event will be available to all Maine High Schools and CTE Centers and will demonstrate the potent impact of business-education partnerships on career development.

Congratulations to Androscoggin Bank!
Androscoggin Bank Becomes a Certified B Corporation

Androscoggin Bank announced it has become a Certified B Corporation, an accomplishment made by only nine other banks in the U.S. Unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations must meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. They undergo a rigorous assessment of their positive impact on their employees, clients, community, and environment. There are only ten other Maine companies that have achieved B Corp status, and only three other banks in New England.

To Celebrate - The bank will have raffles* for chances to win gift certificates from the following local Gray businesses!

Visit these businesses and ask to fill out an entry form. Make sure you write your name and address clearly!

*There will be 16 different drawings between
April 14 and May 28, so you’ll have multiple chances to win.
