Nominations Now Open  for the 2020 Awards

Nomination forms and guides are now available online here: 

Nominations will close on Friday, December 13, at 4 pm.

The St. Catharines Arts Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in all areas of artistic creation. The Arts Awards seek to increase the visibility of St. Catharines' artists and cultural industries, honour cultural leaders and their achievements, and cultivate financial and volunteer support for the arts sector.

Nominations will be accepted for the following categories:
Arts in Education
Emerging Artist
Established Artist (artistic practice 10+yrs)
Making a Difference
Patron of the Arts

The Awards Show will be celebrated in Spring 2020.

NOMINATION INFO DROP-IN  OFFICE   HOURS:
 
Are you interested in nominating an artist or arts champion for the 2020 City of St. Catharines Arts Awards?
 
Stop in for open office hours to meet the Cultural Services staff that can assist you with your nomination. Learn about the eligibility criteria, the best support documents to include and the online application form.

When: Tuesday, November 26, 2 to 4 pm and 5 to 8 pm
Where: St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre, 1932 Welland Canals Parkway. Please check in with front desk staff, ask for Michelle Nicholls.

You are encouraged to consider the best category for your nomination in advance of your visit.  If you have already started an application, you will have the opportunity to ask staff questions specific to your nomination.  

DID YOU KNOW?
- Past nominees can be nominated again!
- Your nominee needs to be a St. Catharines resident OR have an extended connection to St. Catharines through their practice, administration, volunteer service or patronage.
