Sunday Breakfast
There is no breakfast this Sunday, September 1, due to the Labor Day weekend.  The next breakfast will be Sunday, September 8, which will be provided by guest chef, Mike Berry.

Our Sunday class topic is on "The Roots of Christian Mysticism". Taught by Father Michael and Jon Siegrist, this course will last for several weeks.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

SAVE THE DATE!!
On Friday, September 13th at 7:00pm, the Rt. Rev. Terry Allen White, Bishop of Kentucky, will, God willing, ordain the Rev. Allison Caudill to the Sacred Order of Priests here at St. Luke's

More details will be forthcoming in the weeks to come.  Ordinations are relatively rare events in the life of a parish, and they are incredibly powerful spiritual experiences, so I hope we can all be together that night .

Special Parish Meeting
If you were not able to attend the meeting on August 25 and want to find out the information you missed, please contact Dawn White, Parish Administrator, at 245-8827, ext. 10 or [email protected].

Lemonade on the Lawn
Meet us on the front lawn after the 10am service for refreshments and mingling. Get to know those you've never met before and talk to those you do know. It's a great time for all.

"Computer and Home Security" coming in Sept.
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BOSA) is pleased to announce the continuation of their lecture series introduced in February with "Cancer in Men" followed by "Dementia and Alzheimer's" this past May.

Our first topic this Fall will be "Computer and Home Security" by guest speaker Greg Gitschier. Now the leader of his own security consulting firm, Greg has had a wide and interesting career in law enforcement and security work. During a lengthy term of employment with the Secret Service, he was heavily involved with providing protection for our Presidents, royalty, foreign dignitaries, and even Pope John Paul II. He followed his federal career with work for the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department, and currently serves as a Chaplain for both the Louisville Metropolitan and Anchorage Police Departments. He is a Deacon in the Catholic Church. Greg speaks frequently to groups in the Louisville region, and his firm consults with a number of local businesses on security matters.

This presentation will be held in Board Hall on Thursday, September 19 at 7:30PM, and all are welcome to attend.

There is no fee. Please let your neighbors know of this event. They are most welcome to join us for an informative evening.

If you plan on attending, you will help us greatly with an RSVP to Dawn at the church office (Phone: 245-8827 ext:10). This will help us to assure adequate seating, etc.
