Safe Access Health Screen Website is Now Live

As we shared last week, employees will be able to start using the Safe Access Website to complete their daily health screen. This Safe Access Website for DPS employees link is now live. We encourage you to incorporate this tool into your safety procedures as soon as possible. After Sept. 18, DPS will completely transition from the former Google form, and your team will only be able to use the Safe Access Website for daily health screens.

As a reminder, yesterday executive directors and above received an email from Safe Access called "SafeAccess Invitation." Please review this email and accept the invitation linked in it, and complete the short registration process for your account. With your Safe Access account, you will be able to check data on who has completed their health screen (pass or fail) and who has not completed their health screen at your location in real time. Until you accept this invitation and set up your reviewer account, you will not be able to check in to the Safe Access system. For details on setting up your reviewer account, please see these instructions.

The Safe Access Website link is accessible for you and your team members on The Commons as well as in the below instruction documents. For additional information on how to use Safe Access, please refer to these documents:
  • Instructions for Reviewers, to support managers in reviewing and supporting the check-in process. A Safe Access account is required for reviewers. (Instructions for setting up your account are included in the link.)
  • Instructions for Users, for employees completing their daily health screens. Most users can check-in with their DPS employee ID, no account is required.
Return to Worksite Resources and Reminder
As some team members are returning to their worksites, we wanted to share a few reminders and resources about our protocols for entering DPS buildings.

  • Every team member must first complete a health screen every day before entering a DPS building or school.
  • Central office team members must also complete a reservation request 24 hours in advance to ensure we do not exceed 50% of available seating capacity.
  • Follow The DPS 5 health and safety protocols.
  • All employee are encouraged to sign up for free COVID-19 tests, especially those who plan to return to a building within two weeks.
  • Review the Central Office Return FAQ for guidance specific to those at administration buildings.

Access all of these resources and links at thecommons.dpsk12.org/returnforms.
Health and Safety Protocols for In-Person Learning Training
On Thursday, Aug. 27, all school-based personnel received an email informing them that they are registered for the Health and Safety Protocols for In-Person Learning training. This training will prepare staff with the health and safety protocols that they need to know to be in person with students. It is critical for anyone who is returning to in-person learning and/or is in a building where students are present to complete this training prior to being in the building. If any of your school-based staff were not automatically registered for the training, please ask them to access it here.
