City Offers Rental Assistance Program
City of Spokane will work with Spokane Workforce Council to provide a rapid-delivery Home Tenant Based Rent Assistance funded by HUD to families experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. The program will serve a diverse population of low-income renters who have reduced or lost incomes due to the pandemic. The project is expected to serve over 200 renters at a low administrative cost, and will be deployed by Career Path Services through the Spokane Resource Center, which already has infrastructure in place to provide rental assistance to area residents. For more information, visit the City's website .
SRHD Offers Return-to-Work Guidance
For employers and employees, knowing when it’s safe to return to work after having COVID-19 can be difficult. Spokane Regional Health District has developed guidance for non-healthcare personnel to help employers and employees make informed decisions about testing, quarantine or isolation and when it’s appropriate to return to work. This guidance includes three COVID-19 workplace scenarios:
  • An employee has tested positive.
  • An employee suspects they may have COVID-19 or were exposed.
  • An employee has been exposed to an immediate household member with COVID-19.
City Hall Remains Closed to Public
City of Spokane is committed to working to limit the community spread of COVID-19 while maintaining City operations. As the state and community navigate the Safe Start plan, we will continue to adjust how we deliver services, while accommodating social distancing and best practices for limiting illness. You can access city services online 24 hours a day or by calling 3-1-1 Monday-Friday.
