Chromebook Exchange for 20-21 School Year
The school district is coordinating a Chromebook exchange to ensure that all students have a working device to begin the school year on September 8. Throughout August and the first week of September, the district will be communicating with families in waves about how, when, and where to exchange devices.

The below link shows the schedule for pick up, but only schools that are already scheduled are currently listed. The district will be updating the linked page for remaining schools. (Hamilton will appear in the BLUE section, which is the last section toward the bottom of the linked page.)

Expect to receive an email and text message (if you have opted in to receive text messages from MMSD) from the district about your child's exchange date, time, and location once plans are finalized.
Student Schedules 411
The school district will be making student schedules available in Infinite Campus beginning on Monday, August 24. A couple of points to keep in mind. First, the district releases schedules for all students district-wide at the same time. If there are delays in the release process, it is a district delay, and not a Hamilton delay. Second, and this is specific to Hamilton, student schedules will only have core classes entered for the first semester for all students, while students in sixth and seventh grade will only show Unified Arts class for the first quarter. As the school year progresses, core classes will be duplicated for second semester, and Unified Arts classes will be entered based on the rotation that students follow. This approach to scheduling at Hamilton is new, is something that we had planned to do well before the pandemic started, and is not related to starting the year in a distance learning environment. The change just simplifies the scheduling process.
Installing Infinite Campus on Your Phone
To access your child's schedule, you will need to log into Infinite Campus. Please also consider downloading Infinite Campus to your phone as a way to monitor your child's school work and attendance. Downloading the Infinite Campus App to your phone allows you to see grades on assignments, including the designation of "Missing" immediately after the teacher enters the information in their electronic grade book. The same type of notification will arrive to your phone for attendance where you can see immediately if your child has been marked absent or tardy. To download the IC App to your phone, see the below link to the district's attendance page, which also includes information on how to configure the appropriate notification setting in the App.

A gathering of three friends.
Gathering of three friends and Hamilton students at our main Hamilton entrance this past week. As we gear up for the start of school in a distance environment, there will be some familiar routines and traditional ways of doing things that will be missed. Looks like some students will try to create some sense of familiarity.
