HAPPENING SUNDAY
Pastor Trudy's Message
What is a generous life in Christ? This has been our mission and vision for four years. We can name things as generous right now and it can pull us forward into the future. When we read what surrounds this passage in 2 Corinthians 8, we can hear it in a new way in these days. The churches are going through times of affliction and challenge. They don't force agreement on a platform, but they also don't abandon each other. They respond with overflowing love and joy and generosity. Is this a message we can hear today?

Holy God, we have drifted from your vision of a community of love and care for each other. Everything we have is entrusted to us by you. Make it change how we live today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...
REAL QUESTIONS FROM REAL PEOPLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GLC
What Happened Sunday??? We were unable to connect our technology to YouTube on Sunday and we are unable to broadcast live on YouTube from our phones and laptops! So we went on Facebook live from an iPhone and then posted the video on our YouTube channel. In the future, we will post a brief video on YouTube explaining what's happening and go live on Facebook. Remember, you do not need to have Facebook to check out the happenings on our GLC Facebook page. We put it in the live and learn column. We lived it and we learned! We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Church Office Hours: a staggered staff schedule has been created to cover our office hours Monday-Friday, 9 am-3 pm. Please feel free to call our main line 630-232-0165 to talk with a staff member. Or, if you need to come to the church, ring the buzzer and we'll meet you at the door.
Seeking Council Nominations
The nominating committee is seeking nominations for council. Nominees must be an active member of the congregation; giving, communing and participating in the life of the congregation (as much as it is possible in these days!) The Congregation Council handles the business of the congregation; giving feedback on the budget and programs, but also provides leadership in guiding others to grow in their lives of faith, working with the pastor and staff to live into the vision of a generous life in Christ. You can nominate yourself. Contact Norm Loboda
