The Integrated Training Collaborative (ITC) coordinates Virginia's Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) which is the professional development system for early interventionists who provide supports and services to eligible children and families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

TALKS ON TUESDAYS Talks on Tuesdays (ToTs) are one-hour webinars designed to provide free online training opportunities related to important topics in early intervention. Topics chosen for the Talks on Tuesdays webinar series are based on feedback from EI practitioners about what they need to know more about! ToTs are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:00-1:00PM.   FEATURED WEBINARS Our September and November ToTs featured Naomi Grinney, LCSW from the ITC of Fairfax-Falls Church diving deeper into the foundations of social emotional development. She focused on attachment (Part I) and temperament (Part II).  The December ToT will feature discussion around the grief continuum by Michele Tryon at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. Michele will discuss strategies to support families when faced with a new diagnosis and/or bereavement. REGISTER TODAY!

ITC ACTIVITIES UPDATE The ITC staff is working hard this Fall: SC Chats are completed for the year. The professional development team is re-evaluating the project to plan for next year. Stay tuned. Episodes 1 and 2 of the new EI on the Fly Podcast are now available. The 5th cohort of the Coaching Implementation Project will begin in January. Contact Lisa Terry to register. 8 new videos featuring service coordinators are now linked from the Videos page. The Fall Kaleidoscope Communities of Practice will have their first meetings this month. Office Hours kicked off the first meeting in October. Office Hours are designed to support local system managers, supervisors, and anyone who provides local staff development to brainstorm individual or group topical training including available resources and effective professional development strategies. Registration is open for November 14, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 am. Click here to register. Our next 30-minute Resource Pop-Up Webinar will be held on December 11, 2019 at 8:30am and 1:30pm and will focus on how to use all of the new VEIPD resources related to service coordination and coaching. Registration info will be coming soon. PD staff presented a webinar about SC and coaching with the DEC SC Community of Practice in October to over 150 participants around the nation. The archived webinar is available here.  Initial planning for the Leadership Book Study using Dare to Lead by Brené Brown has begun. The planning workgroup with 9 LSMs will begin meeting in January.
