Cosmology of Light Newsletter
Hello Friends, as we approach the end of 2021 I would like to share some summary thoughts on light.

In a Cosmology of Light, light is the substance in which all emergence takes place. Existence can be seen to be the play of several layers of light coexisting at different speeds. Contemplation on the essence of light, since it remains one across the different layers, can yield insight into intractable problems. I have explored this essence and approaches to some representative problems in various writings on light.

Further, contemplation of light in one area of development can yield insight into another distinctly developed area. Hence, for example, the physicist may learn something from the mythologist, and the mythologist something from the cosmologist. The methods each uses to uncover knowledge remain distinct. But insight gained surfaces perhaps from a common existence from which the different constructs - whether physics, or mythology, or cosmology - emerge.

In this newsletter, I draw attention to a newly begun series on mythology in a cosmology of light. Receptive reading, I contend, can benefit even the physicist. I also draw attention to the International Day of Light, a celebration that allows many different sectors of society worldwide to participate in activities that demonstrates how science, technology, art, and culture can help achieve the goals of UNESCO – building the foundation for peaceful societies.

I invite you into contemplation of light by reading some of the referenced material, and by participating in one of the planned discussions in 2022.

Best Wishes,
Pravir
Mythology in a Cosmology of Light
The Cosmology of Light has been constructed by imagining light to exist at multiple constant speeds simultaneously. The starting point of this exploration, simply, is why does light travel at the constant speed of c?

And the answer, from a Cosmology of Light perspective, is that this is intentional. It is required so that our cosmos would emerge in the way that it has, with the possibilities resident within it. This hence lends itself to mythology.

International Day of Light
The International Day of Light is celebrated on May 16. Organizations the world over have been invited to set up events around that date that link light with the goals of UNESCO. I will be offering three events in that time frame that focus on the necessary conditions for World Peace as envisioned from a Cosmology of Light point of view.

These are highlighted in the Live DIscussion section below. The recommended reading for this discussion is a piece that is part of the Musings on a Cosmology of Light series, that ties together five layers that need to operate synergistically - the living-cell layer, the human layer, the layer of ecosystem services, the cultural layer, and the layer comprised of national genius - for even the possibility of World Peace.

In these musings, I have suggested dynamics relevant to each of these layers that all emanate from the fourfoldness implicit in light.

The dialog on January 28, 2022 initiates a discussion on the mythology in a cosmology of light.

In honor of International Day of Light, the following live dialogs that focus on World Peace in a Cosmology of LIght take place on:

Please note that these dialogs may be recorded and will likely be posted on youtube.
