Student Development Programs

Student Development Programs (SDP) promotes student learning by providing leadership education, avenues for student involvement, and personal growth opportunities to develop responsible individuals as engaged members in their communities. SDP helps students make the transition to the college life, they advise student organizations, the Activities Programming Board, fraternity and sorority life and offer a variety of leadership development programs and workshops. Student Development Programs is located in UC East by the Fireside Lounge across from Cyclone Salad inside the office suite. Visit the Student Development Programs website

EagleSync is a web based tool USI students use to manage their co-curricular activities.  Explore Student Organizations at USI:  1. Log in to myUSI 2. Click on EagleSync icon on the left 3. Update your profile and Notification settings 4. Search  Student Organizations  that interest you!

Leadership Opportunities

Emerging Leaders offers USI freshman students the opportunity to develop new leadership skills, make new friends, and contribute to their university community. This program focuses on preparing individuals to succeed and contribute to USI as student leaders in subsequent years. To learn more go to USI.edu/leadership

Leadership 101 is a one-time event on Monday, September 16 to learn how to become a leader on campus by introducing new students to leadership at USI, the differences between being a leader in high school and college, and participants will complete a leadership exercise. USI Insider Tips Student Involvement Center: Located in the lower level of University Center East, it is home to the Student Government Association (SGA), Activities Programming Board, Fraternity and Sorority Life and other campus organizations. Cinema USI: Shows the most recent movies to be released to the public for free to all USI students with a valid USI Student ID. Free popcorn at each movie! Movies are Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. in Forum 1.
