LetterA Letter from NDA President Tom Kiely
Dear NDA Families, Faculty and Staff,

On behalf of the Board of Education and the Administration we are pleased to announce that Notre Dame Academy will open using a Blended Hybrid Scenario to begin this academic year. This decision was the result of a unanimous vote of the Board of Education endorsing the recommendation of the Administration.

We are excited to be with the NDA students and to journey together at this challenging time! However, we must emphasize the parts we all have to play in this decision.

This decision has been the result of many hours of analysis, prayerful discernment, conversations across the NDA and Brown County communities, and the advice of medical health professionals in the Prevea Health Systems.

The success of our opening will be the result of each person working to ensure that the policies and procedures developed for the common good are followed. This extends beyond the school building to behaviors at home as well. We bring the results of all our interactions with us to school.

This decision will govern NDA's scenario status for as long as it is appropriate. Our time together is fragile, and we must do all we can to keep each other safe by masking, distancing and washing or sanitizing hands regularly. We hope that this gradual opening will lead to a full return. Conditions may change and cause NDA to change its scenario accordingly. Conditions inside and outside of the school will be analyzed on a weekly basis with the help of Prevea Health System.

NDA is committed to the most comprehensive Catholic educational experience for
students at this, and at all times. This scenario selection is a prudent way for us to begin the school year. Consequently, this scenario carries several responsibilities for students and families as they prepare for the beginning of school. Please familiarize yourselves with the series of processes that have changed at NDA because of COVID-19 as well as the Family Guide for Returning to School on the NDA website.

Additional information on the full range of NDA programs and procedures will be available in the coming weeks.

In prayerful recognition of God's presence among all of us in all we do,

Thomas J. Kiely, DHL
President,
Notre Dame de la Baie Academy
