1. On April 5, 2021, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reinstated the 14-day quarantine period for those exposed to COVID-19 effective immediately. As a result, this change eliminates the previous shortened 10-day quarantine period. MDHHS made the change as a result of the current increase of Michigan COVID cases.
2. As allergy season has begun, please be aware that many COVID symptoms present as allergy symptoms, so we are asking that you please take extra caution before assuming your child’s symptoms of cough, runny nose, congestion, and sore throat are allergy related. Please consult your child’s pediatrician before sending them to school.
3. On Monday, our four large tents will return, allowing for outdoor lunches and classroom instruction. Please make sure your child brings a light jacket each day as it usually is cooler inside the tents.
4. With only two months of school remaining, we thank God for His protection throughout this school year! However, as we’re coming down the home stretch, we need to remain diligent in our established COVID protocols as they have served us well this year. Please continue to send clean masks to school each day. As a staff, we will continue to enforce proper hand washing and cleaning procedures throughout the school day.
