GHI 9-11 Back to School Cookout

The High School Cookout is back! Let's kick off the new year and spend a little time with each other relaxing and having fun. After school on Friday, September 13, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 pm., High School students and teachers will gather on the lawn for food, music, and fun.

We will have parents grilling, the stereo playing, and a few pick-up sports activities available throughout the afternoon.

When the time is right, our Senators will introduce themselves and sit as judges for the first-ever Latinas Moms Tostada Cookoff! The winning Latina Mom will bring glory to her student's house with a victory.

We are calling on parents to make this event happen! If you are interested in volunteering a grill, as a griller, or contributing sides and paper goods, please sign up online here.

High School students are invited to wear their Spirit Shirts (house shirts or other GHI t-shirt) and jeans to school on 9/13. Jeans must be reasonable fit, with no holes or rips. Students may wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes. All clothes, as usual, must be free from conspicuous logos, branding, or messages of any kind.
