Beginning on Sunday, October 4, 2020, we are resuming in-person worship in our sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. These worship services will include Holy Communion (with distribution of the bread only) and will continue to be livestreamed to our Facebook page and archived to our website and YouTube channel.
During Phase 2, we are limiting these services to a maximum of 50 people (including worship leaders).
If you are feeling sick, exhibiting symptoms of any kind, or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home and participate in the livestream broadcast on Facebook.
If you are 65+ years old or immunocompromised, please consider staying home and participating in the livestream broadcast on Facebook. Staying home may be the best way to care for yourself and others.
When You Come to Worship
- Face masks will be required of all worshipers while on Zion property and for the entirety of the service, except for receiving Holy Communion. Please bring your own mask.
- At the entrance to the sanctuary, you will be met by the hospitality team and given hand sanitizer and a temperature check. If your temperature is over 99.0°F, you will not be permitted to enter the sanctuary.
- Please maintain 6 feet of social distance while in the sanctuary, including during the service. Signs will direct you to appropriate seating.
- We have modified the "traffic flow" for receiving Holy Communion. Please follow the directions of Pastor Potter, the hospitality team, and the signage.
- If you wish to bring an offering envelope, you may place it in the offering plate at the entrance/exit to the sanctuary.
- These services will include keyboard music and minimal congregational singing. Please respect the instructions given on the screen for musical moments during the service.
- There will not be a printed bulletin; hymnals and Bibles have been removed from the worship space.
- After the service, please exit the sanctuary continuing to maintain 6 feet of social distance between you and other worshipers.
These plans reflect the best recommendations at hand for Phase 2 of reopening and are subject to change at any time based on developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We appreciate your commitment to a safe and healthy worship experience.
