  Hit the Trails!

We've had a wonderfully productive week here at school, including one of our best All-School Meetings yet! Ms. Lauren curated the meeting, which features a series of projects and presentations shared by students. Speaking in front of an audience is an important skill for each of us to learn. It can be daunting, but also incredibly rewarding. Our student-presenters this week were very brave as they stood in front of the entire school, sharing their writing, a project about leadership and information about this year's student newspaper. And our audience members were so very respectful as their peers shared their voices. Well done all!

Thanks to all who joined us last Saturday at our Annual Pancake Breakfast. It was a great way to kick off the long weekend! Delicious flap jacks and all the fixings were prepared by our event partners at the Sweeney Post in Manchester. Our gratitude goes out to MFCS event organizer, Amanda G, and the team of volunteers who worked together to make it a great success!

There are still plenty of family fun events planned for this year. In fact... there's another one on Sunday...this one is outside...

 Fall Parent Teacher Conference Day
November 21st

Hard to believe, but we are about a third of the way through the school year! And with that, we have scheduled our Fall Parent/ Teacher Conferences. Earlier this week, your child's teacher sent you an invitation to sign up online for a conference time on Thursday, Nov. 21st.

These conferences are important opportunities for parents and our staff to share time together and talk specifically about each child's accomplishments and goals. We look forward to a wonderful Conference Day.

Please note, there are NO CLASSES for students on November 21st.

Need Child Care During your Conference? If you need child care during your conference, your child/children may be dropped off in our child care room for $5 per child. Children may only be in our care during your conference time. ANY child who is in the building, must be in the child care room curing Conference Day.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

It's a long and intense day for our Teachers as they meet with families. Hind Bashier, the Hospitality Committee Coordinator, has put together a menu for the day.

What a wonderful way to give during the Holiday Season!

Last year, Mill Falls donated over 90 coats, 40 hats, 8 pairs of boots and many more mittens and scarves. Let's see if we can do even better this year!

 Read In Reminders

Read In Fridays  are wonderful days for our Mill Falls Community. It gives  students  time to share their classrooms with important adults and friends in their lives, and to spend time together reading some of their favorite books.

A reminder that Read Ins begin at 8:15 and end at 8:45. We ask that visitors please wait up front until 8:15 before making their way to the classrooms.

Going forward, we will also ask Read In attendees to wear a sticker "I'm here for Read In" which will be distributed at the front door, and to sign in as they enter the classroom they are visiting and sign out  on their way out.

  Weather-Related Closings or Delays

As winter approaches, please keep in mind that any school closings or delays will be announced on WMUR's website and TV station

Remember that in most cases, we follow the Manchester School District in terms of weather-related decisions, and announce our plans as soon as they announce theirs, because so many of our students ride buses provided by the district.

 Brain Buster

Each week, Ms. Colleen, our Math Interventionist posts a Brain Buster. All students are welcome to try their hand at it. She then collects all the winning answers and has a student select the winning entry. The Brain Buster and the winner are shared in our weekly newsletter.
