Community Wellness Grants - applications close Monday!
StarkMHAR is offering a funding opportunity for the development of new, and continuation of current, youth programs that address social factors such as education, poverty and lack of family supports that undermine physical and mental wellness. Eligible Stark County based 501(c)3 non-profit organizations may apply for up to $2,500. The submission deadline is March 15 by 5:00 p.m.
CIT Award Nominations
The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Awards honor people who are advancing best practice in encounters involving people who may be struggling with substance abuse and/or a mental illness. The CIT awards recognize those who are making a significant positive impact in Stark County efforts to use de-escalation techniques in crisis situations improving the safety of the officer, consumer and family. Nominations are due by March 31.

HOPE Award Nominations
This year especially, you may have noticed someone making a positive difference in our community. Presented annually, the HOPE Awards honor Stark County people and organizations who are making strides and influencing change to advance behavioral health in the five categories below. Scholarship available - apply today!
The Workforce Development Scholarship is offered to current workforce to extend their training and education in the Mental Health, Alcohol or Drug field. Applicants must be an employee of a not-for-profit behavioral health organization located in Stark County. Scholarship applications from eligible applicants, with required narrative, should be submitted online. Only complete applications will be accepted; individuals can apply through April 11, 2021.
