Register today for the Adult Vaccination Mentorship Program at IFA Project ECHO
Vaccination is one of the most crucial health interventions of our time and a vital strategy for prioritizing healthy ageing, however vaccination rates are suboptimal in the most at-risk populations of older people and those with underlying chronic conditions around the world.
We are pleased to invite your participation in a ground-breaking and innovative program. The Adult Vaccination Mentorship Program at IFA Project ECHO is a five-session course to improve the skills of organizations to educate, promote and talk about adult immunisation. This learning opportunity will build the capacity and capability of civil society organizations as champions of adult immunisation. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in the field of vaccination, equity and communication, as well as peers, in order to contribute to improving rates of vaccination for those most at-risk. Click here to see the program curriculum, format and schedule.
The IFA welcomes you to join our learning community!

World Report on Vision at the IFA
The World Health Organization (WHO) World Report on Vision was published in October 2019, launched ahead of World Sight Day on 10 October. The report found that population ageing, changing lifestyles and limited access to eye care, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, are some of the main reasons for the rising numbers of people living with vision impairment. The report seeks to contribute to Sustainable Development Goals 3 - “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”, and 3.8 – “Achieve universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health-care services and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all.” To this end, the report proposes integrated people-centred eye care (IPEC) as an approach to health system strengthening that builds the foundation for service delivery to address population needs.
IFA’s vision health portfolio (including the Eye See You campaign and the DR Barometer Program) is viewed through the lens of the Report with the ultimate goal of influencing policy and advancing the vision health agenda.
