Adopt-A-Highway Litter Event October 12, 2019

Saturday, October 12 th was our fourth and final pick-up of the year.  In just over an hour and a half, we gathered trash that filled 8 bags, plus some larger items for pick-up by the ACHD Maintenance Crews. For the year, we picked up 46 bags of trash, as well as other trash (usually building supplies) that were too big for the bags. We had 38 volunteers help throughout the four litter pick-up days.

The crew pictured for the October 12 th pick-up day included:
Dusty and Dyan Bevins, from ACHD
Karissa Hardy and her son Myles, from LTHAC
Mac McOmber, retired from AECOM

Not pictured but also on the crew were Megan McNeese, from S & C Associates, and Dave Butzier, from AECOM.

Thanks for all that helped with the Adopt-a-Highway program this year.  We will resume again next year in April, to keep our stretch of Orchard Street picked up and looking good.
