The Return to School- TLC/Kulanu Task Force
, made up of parents, teachers and medical professionals in the Bet Torah community, has been meeting weekly to devise multiple models of instruction for Kulanu for the fall. We continue to be committed to providing quality Jewish education while maintaining our Bet Torah community with safety as a priority. The models are as follows:
- ALL- HYBRID- all classes meet 1x week in person, remote other days
- K-2-HYBRID; 3-7 REMOTE: K-2 meet 1x a week in-person and 3-7th meet remote all days
- ALL REMOTE
Our final decision on how we start classes will follow based on state guidelines from Governor Cuomo, up to date health protocols including updated information from the CDC and commitment to our core values.
Start of Kulanu:
Kulanu is scheduled to begin on 9/13/20. We appreciate that September will be full of change and that children and families will be adjusting to the start of school in each district. With that in mind, during the first few weeks we will have:
- Sunday, September 13 “Kulanu Kick-off-Drive thru ” with materials distributed
- small group “meet the teachers” via zoom
- parent orientations by grade(s) via zoom.
High Holy Days:
Rosh Hashanah begins September 18. Kulanu will offer several program options for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Please stay tuned.
