Families of IPS,

So far, we have had a great start of the school year. The “soft opening” has allowed us to work with our students on proper social distancing and procedures to ensure our staff and students’ safety. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate through many of the challenges this school year. As we start the year, we are working hard with our students to access online learning, if we need to “pivot” for any reason this school year. Your student will be receiving a letter with login information to access important learning resources. Be sure to review, follow the instructions, and utilize the videos to help if needed - See Remote Access Information below!

Pick-Up Tomorrow - Small Change to Help with Traffic
We will start pick-up at the end of the day for Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 at 2:50 PM.
Kindergarten - in back at kindergarten doors
Grade 1 - pick up in the front main doors
Grade 2 - second set of doors in the back of the building
***Grade 3 and Grade 4 - Please do not arrive until 3 PM.

Remote Access - Important Please Read!
On your child’s first day of school, they received a letter containing personalized login information for Clever/Google. I recommend placing this in a safe place and taking a picture of it to keep the information on hand.

In the coming weeks, your child will be working on familiarizing themselves with a Chromebook while accessing both Clever and Google Classroom. These two apps will be utilized by all of our teachers should we pivot to a remote learning environment. To become familiarized with some of the basics, Mrs. Morosko (Technology Teacher) has provided three tutorials. It is my hope that if you need to use these resources in the future, your child will be able to teach you!

Health Assessment App
Thank you for letting us know about the WorkSafe application login issues. We’ve worked directly with TrueCare24 to resolve some of these issues.

If you’ve logged in with your student’s Gmail account (and did not set up a password), you can use password777 as a temporary password. The username will remain the student’s email.

Once logged in, you can change the password by clicking on the gear widget in the screen’s upper-right corner. Then select “change password.”

If you’ve successfully registered with a new password, you can continue logging in with that same password or the Google Sign-in option.

If you are still having trouble using the health assessment app, please send in this form with students name: Health Assessment

Indoor Recess Bag
We are asking all students to bring in an indoor recess bag. This bag should be a gallon-size Ziploc bag with items your student can play with during indoor recess. Please be sure to label the bag with your child’s name. This will avoid the sharing of things in the classroom. Ideas for the bag include - coloring book, crayons, play-doh, Lego’s and any other items that fit in the gallon bag. Please be sure the bag can close. You can replenish items throughout the school year.

Thanks,
