At the luncheon on Thursday, Governor Greg Abbott gave a tremendous speech highlighting various topics on how to continue a successful Republican party and how Republican values lead to electoral victory. |

Steve Munisteri gave a fabulous presentation about voter registration and how the Volunteer Engagement Project, at which he served as Senior Advisor, helped keep Texas red in 2020. |

As chair of the RNC Grassroots Advocacy Committee, I held my own meeting and I am so happy to report that Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel made time to visit with some of our amazing grassroots activists who, I can confidently say, are an example for the rest of the nation! |

This week marks Joe Biden’s 100th day in office.
- The first 100 days of Joe Biden’s presidency have been marked by weak leadership and broken promises.
- Biden has started a war on American energy.
- Joe Biden has proven he is turning his back on American energy workers after saying he would not abandon fossil fuel workers.
- On Day One, Biden crushed thousands of jobs by canceling the Keystone Pipeline, killing 11,000 jobs including 8,000 union jobs.

Biden directed federal agencies to determine how expansive a ban on new oil and gas leasing on federal land should be, the first step in implementing his proposed ban.

Biden also began the 30-day process to rejoin the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement. Economists estimate this move would kill millions of American jobs.
- Democrats’ “Green New Deal” would eliminate fossil fuels, cost taxpayers up to $93 trillion over ten years, destroy our energy sector, and crush 10 million jobs.
- Biden claims to care about infrastructure.
- Only 7% of his $2.25 trillion so-called “infrastructure” plan is for roads, bridges, waterways, ports, and airports.
- He killed actual infrastructure projects like the Keystone Pipeline and the border wall.
- His infrastructure proposal will hit Americans with $2 trillion in tax hikes that would lower wages and shrink America’s economy.

In March, over 172,000 migrants were taken into custody for illegally crossing the border –five times as many as last March.

- There is a serious humanitarian crisis and border facilities are critically crowded.

- Taking credit for Operation Warp Speed.
- On the campaign trail Biden repeatedly spread doubt about the vaccine, while Republicans led Operation Warp Speed which developed vaccines in record time.
- The Trump Administration put in place a vaccine distribution plan.
- A $1.9 trillion progressive wish list that does little to fight COVID.
- Biden’s COVID bill has little to do with COVID relief. Only 9% goes to directly fighting the coronavirus.
- Only 1% of his COVID relief bill is for vaccines.
- Hundreds of billions of the Democrats’ bill will not be spent for up to a decade from now. This was not emergency spending like Joe Biden claimed.
- Biden slow walked opening our schools and putting students first. He has refused to call out AFT boss Randi Weingarten who is leading the charge to keep our schools closed.
- The Democrats’ $1.9 trillion wish list only spends $6 billion, 0.3% of the bill, on emergency relief for K-12 schools this fiscal year with NO REQUIREMENT that they reopen.
- Biden’s foreign policy agenda is once again putting America last.
- Biden is kowtowing to Russia and China so they cooperate with his Green New Deal agenda to destroy millions of jobs.
- In 100 Days, Joe Biden has bowed to the far-left wing of the Democrat Party.
- The Biden Administration is doing more outreach to China and Iran than to Republicans in Congress.
- Biden has embraced the radical left and signaled his willingness to end the filibuster.
- He is now open to court-packing, which he once called a “boneheaded idea.”
- He has refused to call out radical rhetoric from Maxine Waters who said “we’ve got to get more confrontational.”
- Biden repeatedly lied about Georgia's voting bill.
- His rhetoric robbed hard-working Georgians of $100 million in revenue from the All-Star Game.
- Republicans are offering voters an alternative to the Joe Biden and the Democrats’ radical agenda, and in 2022 we will win majorities in the House and Senate.

RNC Assails Democrats' HR 1 as a 'Hostile Takeover' of the Election Process |

The Republican National Committee on Thursday came out swinging against Democrats’ For the People Act of 2021, known as H.R. 1, calling the election reform legislation House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s "most egregious overreach."
"H.R. 1 is nothing short of a hostile takeover by Democrats to federalize our state and local elections," a memo by General Counsel for the RNC Kyle Hupfer read. "All Americans should be alarmed by this power grab."
H.R. 1, the largest overhaul of the U.S. election law in at least a generation, touches on many aspects of the voting process. It would require states to automatically register eligible voters, as well as offer same-day registration. It would limit states’ ability to purge registered voters from their rolls and restore former felons’ voting rights. Among dozens of other provisions, it would also require states to offer 15 days of early voting and allow no-excuse absentee balloting.
Kupfer, who is also the Indiana Republican Party Chair, alleged that if the bill is passed, it would allow Democrats to force through a "wholesale takeover of state election laws" by eroding state voter ID laws and requiring states to adopt automatic voter registration, among other items.
"This legislation is the stuff of failed democracies and is so far outside the mainstream that so-called moderate Democrats should join Republicans in rejecting this bill," Kupfer said. "If the Democrats get their wish and this bill is enacted, it will limit political expression and make our elections less secure."
In the wake of the divisive 2020 election cycle, Democrats argue that H.R. 1 will protect Americans’ right to vote.
The bill, which passed the House last month, is viewed by Democrats as a powerful counterweight to voting regulations advancing in Republican-controlled statehouses across the country in the wake of Donald Trump’s repeated false claims of a stolen 2020 election.
The sweeping voting reform law that passed in Georgia, for example, has received a generous amount of outrage from Democrats – as well as praise from Trump supporters.
Pelosi said in a speech last month that H.R. 1 would provide for "elections that enable people to participate more fully."
"Our purpose was to remove obstacles of participation, obstacles of participation for Democrats or Republicans," Pelosi said. "That's what the law requires, that was the right thing to do. Whether it was in registration or getting out the vote, we had to be non-partisan. And that's what this legislation does."
President Biden called the bill "landmark legislation" as he highlighted its necessity.
"The right to vote is sacred and fundamental — it is the right from which all of our other rights as Americans spring," Biden said in a statement.
The bill will need approval in the Senate, where the two parties are deadlocked 50-50. The legislation would require 60 votes to overcome the filibuster.

Biden’s “Infrastructure” Plan
Biden and his party are lying to the American people – they’re trying to ram their left-wing wish list through Congress under the guise of infrastructure. Their plan isn’t truly about infrastructure – it’s about appeasing the far-left fringe of their party.
- Joe Biden’s massive $2 trillion infrastructure plan is a trojan horse for the radical left’s policies.
- Democrats claim this plan is about creating jobs, but in reality, it would destroy jobs, and would come at a dangerously high cost for American taxpayers.

This plan has a massive $2 trillion in tax hikes in the middle of a recovery.
- It would crush thousands of American jobs, shrink the economy, and lower wages.
- Only a fraction (7%) of the $2 trillion plan would fund American roads, bridges, highways, airports, waterways, and ports.
- The proposal allocates hundreds of billions of dollars in spending to programs and projects that aren’t infrastructure.

Biden’s plan calls for passing the radical “PRO Act,” which gives power to union bosses, hurts workers, and would cost businesses $47 billion every year.
- $174 billion to subsidize the electric vehicle industry.

The bottom line:
This week, Congressional Republicans unveiled infrastructure legislation that meaningfully addresses America’s infrastructure needs. Instead of covertly forcing an inflated liberal wish list onto the American people, Democrats should work with Republicans to advance the meaningful and commonsense infrastructure solutions which every American deserves.

The bottom line:
American energy dominance is one of our nation’s greatest strengths. Instead of giving China (the world’s largest polluter) a pass and calling Putin a “visionary,” the Biden Administration should realize this fact, and work to protect the livelihoods of American energy workers. Biden’s cowardly appeasement to China, Russia, and the radicals in his party is simply unacceptable.
