September 2, 2020

Hello Falcons,

This is not at all what I envisioned for my first September letter, but here we are...with a broken water main. The break is between the building and our outside access pit, so excavation is required. Hopefully, you received my One Call, but if not, the text is below. I know this is a huge inconvenience for many of you and I am truly sorry. We plan to have it fixed by end of day tomorrow and be open for school on Friday.

One Call Now Script:

Hello Falcon Families.

This is Mr. O’Loughlin. We had a water main break this afternoon.  It cannot be fixed tonight and will take all day tomorrow to fix. That means we will have no water tomorrow. No sinks and no toilets.

I am sorry, but the building will be closed to students tomorrow.

All teachers will be working.

Grades K-2 will not be live-streaming tomorrow.  K-2 teachers will be emailing assignments to parents tonight.

Grades 3-8 are expected to be live-streaming all day. These students should follow their regular schedule and use Google Classroom to join the appropriate Google Meets at the appropriate times. This includes all specials. To be clear, grades 3-8 will be in session all day, but they will be learning from home via live-streaming. Teachers will be taking attendance.

Any students who are registered with St. Christopher Child Care are welcome to attend, as the Child Care Center will be open all day tomorrow to accommodate you, if necessary. Again, that is for already registered students only.  If you decide to attend, please pack a lunch and bring all of your school materials including your Chromebook, Chromebook charger, headphones, and textbooks.

To summarize, the St. Christopher School building will be closed tomorrow.
Grade K-2 will receive assignments tonight.
Grades 3-8 will be live streaming from home tomorrow.

We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience.
We plan to open on Friday.

Lastly, Picture Day has been moved to next Thursday.

Have a great evening.

God Bless & Go Falcons.
