Navistar has become a member of CharIN E.V., a global association that focuses on electric vehicle adoption. CharIN E.V. is comprised of industrial and automotive companies that aim to advance the use of electric vehicles through the development, promotion, and implementation of the Combined Charging System (CCS) as the global standard for charging battery powered electric vehicles.
Ex Volvo Trucks COO forms commercial EV startup
Patrick Collignon, former chief operating officer for Volvo Trucks North and South America, launched Trova Commercial Vehicles (TrovaCV). The new company will offer customized engineering and manufacturing expertise for commercial vehicles, specifically fully electric trucks, as well as design its own.
Xos Trucks secures new partnerships to increase EV production
Xos Trucks Inc., the electric truck manufacturer formerly known as Thor, has raised $20 million from investors to increase the production of its X-Platform, a Class 6 delivery truck designed for last-mile operations. The deal includes a partnership with Metalsa, which makes metallic components for trucks and buses.
