State of Delaware Launches COVID-19 Tracking App
COVID Alert DE is Latest Tool to Fight Pandemic Spread
The State of Delaware has launched COVID Alert DE, a mobile app available in the App Store or Google Play that will help Delaware fight community spread of COVID-19. The app will send an anonymous notification to a phone with the installed app if another app user tests positive and was within 6 feet proximity for 15 minutes or longer. Working off bluetooth technology and not GPS, the app does not compromise privacy or personal information and is only for users 18 years or older. COVID Alert DE also allows users to log symptoms and get more information on COVID-19 in Delaware. Since it's rollout four days ago more than 18,000 Delawareans have installed the app. Watch informational video
