Harriet Tubman was a true American hero(ine) with strong ties to Delaware. Her life story has now become a feature film that is playing in local theaters. Westminster's Peace & Justice Work Group encourages everyone to see this powerful movie in the next few weeks. On Sunday, November 17, at 10:10 a.m., our "Let's Talk About It" discussion will focus on her life and on that period of America's turbulent history. Ulster Project Delaware 2020
Information session: Sunday, November 17, 1:30 p.m.
at the Brandywine Hundred Library
Ulster Project Delaware seeks adventuresome applicants, aged 14 - 16, for its annual month-long peace, service and leadership project in July 2020. American teens host Protestant and Catholic teens from Northern Ireland to learn tolerance, build understanding and gain lifelong friendships. Day trips to NYC, DC, Philadelphia, and beach; service projects; leadership and team building events. Teens of all faiths and nationalities are encouraged to apply. Paul's "Quasi-Farewell" Concert
Sunday, November 17, 4:00 p.m.
As part of his count-down to retirement, Organist/Music Director Paul Fleckenstein presents a final festive organ concert here at Westminster on November 17. The program includes not only solo organ works of Bach, Parker, Lemare, Jongen, and Rawsthorne, but also the Organ Concerto in F-major by Josef Rheinberger, with 17-piece orchestra conducted by Dr. Paul Head. URGENT: 22 More Coffee Cans Needed!
Deadline: November 18
We are short on coffee cans for the Christmas Box cookies! Please bring your ~11 ounce cans with lids to the reception desk before November 18. We need 22 more! The elves will be wrapping the cans with Christmas paper that morning (November 18) at 10:00 a.m. so that cookie-baking elves can fill the cans with yummy cookies in December. Each recipient family of our Christmas Box Project will find this special treat in their Christmas Box.
Stephen Ministry News

Dr. Josh Thomas will speak about the "holiday blues" and provide us with insight on how to combat them. All of us at one time or another have felt the holiday blues. Everyone is invited to join the Stephen Ministers as we learn about this topic. Also, a reminder that it is not too late to sign up for the Stephen Minister training class which begins in January and will meet on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Grace Hall. Bring wrapped gifts to church by Sunday, December 8
Two starry Christmas trees - located near the reception desk and in the Pavilion - are heralding all to join WPC's annual Christmas Box mission to help our neighbors in need. What can you do? Select a Wish Star(s) on the tree from someone in need. Record your name and Wish Star number in the nearby logbook. Find gift buying suggestions and important guidelines in the red Christmas Box Pamphlet. Buy a $10 - $20 gift for each recipient you selected. Place your wrapped gift with recipient's star attached to the box and bring to church by December 8.
